July 20 and 21: Mosaics 101 -Put a Damn Bird on it
This class (1.5 days) is a perfect introduction to glass mosaics for people on the go or just needing a nice weekend activity. After one day students will be confident in the skills of mosaic art such as nipping, adhesives, placement, grouting and everything needed to complete a beautiful piece for your home. You will have a choice of a tray, frame or cutout for you to design, fill and finish. I provide a kaleidoscope of colored glass to choose from and we learn how to follow line and space to fill our piece to perfection. Fee is $250 which includes materials - substrate, adhesives, primers, glass and tiles, grouts.
I will provide all the tools needed for this project: nippers, cutters, pliers, sealants and all other accouterments.
Students only need bring their imaginations. This is a fun class to do with friends or other family members.
Day one hours are 9:30-4:30. Day two will be 9:00-1:00.
For students traveling here long distance I have a nearby friend who rents a room for $100/night. She is delightful.
